Halloween is Almost Here!

We had a busy weekend. I went with my daughter's class on a field trip to a pumpkin patch on Friday. We picked small pumpkins there and got big ones with my husband on Sunday. Sunday afternoon we carved them. We usually do one with a face drawn by my daughter and one with a character on it. (Last year we did Spongebob.)

Here are this year's pumpkins. One of the small ones we got Friday.

And the big ones.

It was also my birthday. I got a hammer and a butane torch. Watch out, Lisa, I'll be asking you questions! And my husband got me a little 8 GB mp3 walkman. (I do have an ipod, but I hate itunes, so I don't use it as much as I should. I would imagine he will wind up getting the ipod out of the deal!)

And on my birthday I got to go see High School Musical 3. Not necessarily what I would have chosen to spend my day doing, but Chloe, my daughter, loves those movies. (In fact, I probably qualify as a High School Musical aficionado myself by now. I'll take High School Musical for $1000, Alex.) So, since it opened this weekend, we took her and her best friend. A very fun weekend!
